Sana Mi Corazón Foundation, Saving Hearts.

Creation of social media posts for SMC, an organization dedicated to helping Salvadoran children suffering from heart conditions.

The Challenge

The main challenge was finding the perfect balance between the seriousness and professionalism required by a medical foundation and the cheerful, childlike aesthetic that connects with kids and conveys hope. I needed to respect the existing visual identity—shapes, textures, and icons already in use—while injecting enough dynamism to make the designs visually engaging and reflect the vitality of the children supported by the foundation.

Process

I conducted in-depth research on the work carried out by the SMC Foundation and its target audience. The designs had to follow brand guidelines (colors, typography, and specific graphic elements), so I looked for ways to incorporate new shapes, lines, and textures that conveyed movement and energy. My design approach focused on playfulness, education, and childlike warmth, using visual elements that evoked the joy and spirit of children.

Solution

I designed a series of social media visuals that achieved the desired balance between professionalism and a child-friendly theme. While maintaining the foundation’s visual identity, I added a sense of dynamism and liveliness. The playful and educational approach was reflected in the compositions, which clearly communicated the foundation’s mission and how people can contribute to its cause.

Impact

The visuals enhanced recognition of SMC Foundation’s valuable work and raised awareness about heart conditions affecting children, encouraging donations and support. Overall, the designs helped strengthen the foundation’s image as a professional, trustworthy, and deeply committed organization dedicated to helping Salvadoran children.
